Jason celebrates 20 years in brewing profession working in a variety of breweries before answering the call of the wild at a startup brewery in 2009.  His Germanic training and love of drinkable beers made him the perfect candidate to help this brewery catapult to the forefront of the industry while racking up numerous awards along the way.

Join the conversation as we discuss the origins of these beers as well as how to brew these smaller beers.  We’ll Dig into brewing processes as well as ingredients selection.

Episode #34.5 1st Annual NC Pro Brewer’s Draft

This episode finds us on location at Salud beer shop with the first installment of a project Joe Fantasy_Draftand Daan have been working on behind the scenes…The 1st annual NC Pro Brewer’s Draft!! We contacted brewer’s across the state and landed a diverse dozen that were eager to be a part of this fantastic event.  Never before in North Carolina has there been a project that pulled together this sort of talent into what will be an epic people’s choice showdown competition. Joining us on the mic to MC the ingredients drafting was the NoDable Mr. Ron Brewgundy (Chad Henderson of NoDa declined due to “Shoulder day”).  Follow along with this extended Around Town style show as we bring audio of the ingredient drafting and of course there is always Daan’s banter.  Cheers and enjoy!

We also cover building cultures from yeast dregs, pitching rates/temps, wild yeast captures and some equipment you can get at home to build your small lab.
